Hello :)

You need to assign physicaldrive 2I:1:1 as spare for that array

Re: cannot replace failed frive

I can't:

starlnx1:~# hpacucli ctrl slot=1 array A add spares=2I:1:1

Error: This operation is not supported with the current configuration. Use the
"show" command on devices to show additional details about the
configuration.
Reason: Array is transforming

Backup server data

Shutdown server

Replace failed drive with unassigned drive

Power on server and observe dialogs and prompt from P400 controller

(there might be a rebuild/repair ... can't remember exactly for P400 but here:

I replaced a disk 8 on hot, I pulled out a disk and I inserted new without switching off the server
I passed rebuild the massif successfully

Hi All,

After re-installing ESXi 5.X, I am able to configure only one NIC via network management screen.

We have 4 NICs, where can I configure the rest for static IP?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Starting DL360 G6 without fully redundant fan setup

Ensure that fans are populated at a minimum in fan1 and fan 2 and remove all components such as all expansion cards, riser cards and check if the server powers on. If so, then add one component at a time and power on the server to isolate component that could cause thermal issues.

Hi,

the server is not at my site, but in the datacenter. They tried to check which of the fans is broken and changed the slots of the different fan modules. It looks like something is broken with fan slot 4 and at the moment I think the fan element in slot 1 has a problem. Do I need to replace the systems mainboard when fan slot 4 is reporting an error with every fan module, even with one which works in another slot?

I do have a replacement server which is on his way to the datacenter at the moment. Therefore I need to wait until they send me the broken server back. Then I'll provide further information.

Andi

SPP 2014.02.0 on Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS

Hi,

I'm trying to run hpsum from SPP 2014.02 on a DL360 G7 running Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS x64.

When I run swpackages/hpsum this error is showed:

hpsum: 35: Syntax error: "(" unexpected (expecting "fi")

so I try to run directly /swpackages/x64/hpsum_bin_x64

and it shows:

hpsum_service_x64 started successfully on port 63001 and ssl port 63002.
Error: cannot launch browser.

The error about the browser is correct because I have no browser installed on system.

So using my pc browser I connect to https:/ip:63002 and I can run HP Smart Update Manager 6.2.0, but after inventory of baseline is done correctly, I receive "Inventory error" on "inventory of node" section.

Can someone please help me?

Thanks

I need to convert Raid 1+0 with spare to Raid 5 is it can be done with out data loss.

server space is near filledand have 80 GB free space in that logical drive(300)

I have HP DL385G6 server with smart array P410 with two SAS array.

array a is raid 1+0 with each 72 GB disk.

No need to change.

And Array B with Raid 1+0 with a spare disk.

Two 300 GB hard disk and one spare where the spare is failed now.

Please guide whether I may able to replace the failed spare disk with new one and delete the spare configuration and create Raid 5 configuration for this given below scenario without any Data loss

or We need to for look for a free slot.?
