Hi,

Kindly POST error if any.

Meanwhile check following:

Switch to backup ROM,

1. Access ROM Based Setup Utility by pressing the F9 key during power on.
2. Select “Advanced Options”.
3. Select “Advanced System ROM Options”.
4. Choose “ROM Selection”.
5 Select “Switch to Backup ROM”.
6. Press the Enter key.
7. Press the Esc key to exit the current menu or press the F10 key to exit RBSU. The server restarts automatically.

Clear NVRAM, (Refer following link for instruction)

Boot with Offline SSA image and check, if works update IP(Intelliget provisioning to latest)

Hello

Thanks for the answer.

Does the Clearing NVRAM procedure (Move switch S6 from default 'Off' position to 'On') need to be done when completely disconnected from the power supply or is Standby enough?

Hi,

Is it Power supply fan rev up/down ?

Remove/reseat both the power supply,

Swap Power supply or swap with any other server if possible.

Maksure ILO and BIOS are updated to latest.

Clearing NVRAM - all as before, latest SSA v.4.15-6.0 - still does not see the controller

Bios ROM backup - from 07/01/2015, will server see the new 2667v2 processors, will this not be the reason for blocking the motherboard?

 

ok, restar with old bios rom - all as before,

reboot, but system starting with latest bios rom and with clearing NVRAM - all as before

 

Green LED with P420i - blinks at a frequency of approximately 1 s

Cache - 2 green leds is on light all the time

 

In Bios itself, the controller should be displayed, if so, in which menu?

I reviewed the entire menu - there is no mention of the controller.

i have DL380 g9 with cpu 2620 v3.
i have hp ram 16gb 2133p and hp ram 16gb 2400.

SO,
The two Type RAM models work separately .
Question=
Do the two Type RAM models work together?

i think you need "10pin to 6pin Power Adapter Cable for HP DL380 G8 and NVIDIA Quadro GPU 50cm"  for installing nvidia k4200 on DL380p g8.

Hello, what should i do with the same problem but witn newer machine (ProLiant ml30 gen10). I need to change PS but with old one server run normally, with new one server status light green after AC pluged, after switching on PS turn on but immediately off and status light amber, pc health red. The ILO tell me this: Server Critical Fault (Service Information: Runtime Fault, System Board, P12V Main/AUX Regulators (04h)) and i found the propper description but without solution. State is still the same with old PS computer run normally only is extremlyloud because of PS faulty, with new one PS it did not start. Hi,

Its always a best practice to install same type (Same Rank, Same Type,Same Speed) of DIMM in a server, essentially same spare part number to avoid any issues.

You can install different speed DIMM in a server however there are multiple thing you need to consider.

DL360 G7 all 4 HDDs in amber led error at boot

My previous topic was deleted. I think because of linking to a movie i made of the boot sequence... Well here goes again, a little shorter.

I had a working dl360 until the motherboard failed. Ordered new one and it booted. Unfortunately during the loading progressbar underneath the Proliant logo all disks lights come on in amber fault mode. solid, non blinking.

Pressing f8 on the p410i firmware gives me 0 logical disks.

when hot-pulling out a disk it appears the be NOT spinning.

I measured the dual 6pins connector near the PSU's. As mass i used the metal on top of the psu's.
Bottom row of 3(yellow wires if i recall correctly is a 12v and a 5v. The middle one is ZERO 0volt...?
Top row of 3 (black wires i think) measure at 2.8v and a 3v-ish. Shouldnt this be zero? Mass?

I hope someone can enlighten me. Could the board be DOA?

Hi  ,

yes, it's power supply fan rev up/down. (both)

I try to remove, reset.

I update bios and ilo firmware.

The result is the same

 

I haven't a spare power supply from other server

Hi,

I believe you need to replace them.

You should raise a support case with HPE if server is still under contract.

Disk Drive Firmware Update Recommended

Hi everyone,

When booting my server, I see POST error messages telling me to update 4 of my 15 drives with new firmware. I am using an HP ProLiant DL380 G6, and when I boot the server, I see this message: "A firmware update is recommended for this physical drive."

The two models the prompt lists are "HP DG146BAAJB" and "HP DG0146BALVN". I ran the latest Service Pack for ProLiant that is supported (version 2017.04.0) and updated everything it listed, but this doesn't seem to have fixed anything. Does anyone have individual download links for the firmwares, and can you also explain how I can intergate those into my existing copy of the SPP?
