While installing the Windows Server 1709 Operating System on HPE ProLiant Gen9 servers, the operating system installation stops while on the graphics screen displaying the “Hewlett Packard Enterprise” logo page after loading the installation files. Microsoft and HPE are aware of this issue, have found root cause and are planning to release a fix on or about 12/12/2017. It will be documented in Microsoft Knowledge Base Article KB4055537 as well as an HPE Customer Advisory.
This is only an issue with Windows Server 1709 (Semi-annual Channel Release)
Windows Server 2016 builds are not affected by this issue.
