The compatibility list for the mikrotik RB3011UIAS-RM   at 10G SFP+ is this

https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/MikroTik_SFP_module_compatibility_table#10G_SFP.2B

In it is specifies different modules

https://mikrotik.com/product/Splus85DLC03D

https://mikrotik.com/product/Splus31DLC10D#fndtn-specifications

https://mikrotik.com/product/Splus2332LC10D

https://i.mt.lv/cdn/product_files/splitter_modules_180841.pdf

https://mikrotik.com/product/SplusDA0001

https://mikrotik.com/product/s_ao0005

It says  "They provide a low cost, low power and low latency interconnect solution for 10-Gigabit Ethernet, Fiber Channel and other industry standards, and are direct attached compliant and fully conform to the SFP+ MSA specifications"

But in the quick specification for the 530FLR I can't find any specification that leads me to any conclusion, more than a list of compatibility wich only includes proliant servers.

best regards

Yes, I know that it doesn't say that the DL360 G5 supports ubuntu, but it runs. If you open anything it's super slow, because the internal USB wasn't designed for systems with GUI. That's why I want to switch to a 2.5" SSD on SATA.

https://content.etilize.com/User-Manual/1011193914.pdf

I have seen this manual many times, even the one specifically for ACU on this website:

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00142272.pdf

None of those say how you enable the "select boot volume" back to the ORCA.

Also, will the Erase Utility delete the configuration of the ACU and ORCA?

Hi

You need to clean the DIMM slots and DIMMs as well. Use the Deoxi kit to clean the DIMM and Slots

P04514-001 - SPS-KIT DEOXIT

  1. Remove the DIMM.
  2. Clean the DIMM with Deoxit
  3. Insert the DIMM.
  4. Remove the DIMM.
  5. Clean the DIMM with Deoxit for a second time.
  6. Insert the DIMM.

Also perform the below.

  • Access the UEFI System Utilities System Configuration> BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU)> Memory Options and select Memory Remap (To remap the system memory)

or you can log a warranty case to organize for an Engineer visit to perform the above actions.

Seeking DL360 Gen10 Riser kit guidance

$

Hello,

We have a client that would like to add six NVMe drives to their DL360 Gen10 server. They say that they would require riser / PCIe card support for 6 drives that are high performance ( minimum 2000/1000 mbps and ideally 3000/2000).

Currently the server has only two of the eight HDD slots filled.

Does anyone know - do they need a riser kit or is the machine already set up to take these NVMe drives?

Thanks!

Hello,

As I suggested in my last post, you have to follow the memory papulation guide.

If the issue still persists, I would suggest you have a proper case be logged with HPE, and share the appropriate logs for further analysis.

Hello,

As per the error message and snaps shots, the server should be updated with the latest bios and firmware.

If the issue still persits after update, the system board needs to be replaced.

Hello,

  1. Update the server with the latest bios and all firmware.
  2. Update the SPS firmware with the latest.

* RECOMMENDED * ROM Flash Firmware Package - Server Platform Services (SPS) Firmware for HPE Gen10 Servers (04.01.04.381(B)(21 Aug 2020))

https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_2fb0a1cdc3214eb18edaf78001

  1. Needs to update Innovation Engine Firmware 0.2.2.0.

ROM Flash Firmware Package - HPE Gen10 Innovation Engine Firmware for HPE Gen10 Servers (0.2.2.0(1 Apr 2020))

https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_641abebae642483b823c2dcc23#tab-history

Problems Fixed:

Addressed an extremely rare issue where Processor or Memory temperature reporting may not be collected properly by the platform and the system fans may be running faster than expected. This issue has been seen occasionally after a server reboot and is typically corrected with a subsequent server reboot

Hello,

I would suggest you check the cable connectivity between SA P440AR controller to SAS expander to hard disk backplane.

Update the SAS expander controller firmware with the latest.

If the issue still persists, I would suggest you have a proper case be logged with HPE, and share the appropriate logs for further analysis.

Hello,

i just bought an used Proliant DL380 G7 from Ebay and i wonder which hpe hdds i can use. I found this site  https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=emr_na-c02755440#N10012

But the problem is i cant find any of those hard drives on any online shop. Is it possible that i use "newer" hard drives that arent listed for this server? (like this one: https://www.ebay.de/itm/HPE-450-GB-6G-10K-SAS-2-5-Smart-Carrier-G8-G9-HDD-652572-B21-653956-001/114194233179?epid=118256174&hash=item1a9681b75b:g:CrkAAOSw9rJenrrL)

Thanks

Hi Carl,

As I understand you are trying LDAP configuration in ILO4. Please clarify on which server model you are trying to configure?

Kindly refer the below document for Directory Server Settings and ensure all pre-requisites and configuration is met.

Pg: 70 - Directory Server Authentication and Authorization.

https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=c03334051

Directory Group Settings:

IF still authentication issue seen, kindly log a support case to investigate this further.

Cache is permanently disabled

I have a DL380 with a Smart Array P440ar. I have two issues:

1. Event Viewer reports NTFS error :

A corruption was discovered in the file system structure on volume D:A corruption was found in a file system index structure. The file reference number is 0xe60000000013fd. The name of the file is "\MyStorage\5\369". The corrupted index attribute is ":$I30:$INDEX_ALLOCATION".

2. When I run a diagnose with Smart Storage Administrator  it reports that  Cache is permanently disabled.

I have no other errors.

Is these two errors linked some how?
For NTFS error: Do I need to run Run CHKDSK /R or is there another way to solve it with the Smart Storage Administrator?

Hi,
You cannot use Gen8,G9 or G10 HDDs on G7 server. The G7 HDDs do not have smart carrier.
Use the -B21 part number of the HDDs which you require in Partsurfer.hpe.com to find the spare part number ends with -001.
Try searching for those in e-commerce websites to buy or you can contact HPE sales and check with them

Hi
All HPE servers have embedded management processor called ILO ( Integrated Lights Out)
You can configure them by connecting a LAN cable to the ILO port. Once configured you can access the servers remotely. You can monitor server health, events, yoy can power on/off the server remotely. You can also login to OS using ILO remote console which uses html / java / .net

ILO configuration Guide: https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=a00029920en_us&docLocale=en_US
