Re: ProLiant DL360 G3 Health Driver

I've seen that thread, but I'm still confused because I can't figure out how to install the necessary drivers. It seems like the newer servers all use IPMI, but the G3 does not. I have not been able to figure out what it does use, and what kernel modules are necessary. Right now I am using hpasm 7.3.0 (because it was the first version before ILO 2 support was added, I assume it must support the original ILO), but I get this error when running hpasmcli:

hpuid: error while loading shared libraries: error: libhpasmintrfc.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I assume I am missing a library, but I'm not sure what.

Extend Storage Space from current RAID array after replacing HDDs with bigger size

$

I have one server, HP DL360 G9 with the current RAID 6 array with: (RAID card P440ar)

- 01 x 1.2 TB 10k SAS drive

- 04 x 300 GB 10k SAS drive

Recent days, I replaced 04 1.2 TB 10k SAS drive for the 04 300GB drive. Now I want to extend the current logical volume of storage from the current RAID Array without re-configuring RAID array (because I want to keep the current state of system). I have no server which is available to make some test in BIOS utility because all servers are running for product environment. Can anyone help me to find out a solution or give me some guide for this case?

Thanks in advance

Security has required us to update the ILO firmware on our DL360 g5 and DL360 g6 servers.  I have been able to update some of the servers with the online update tool.  But some of the servers the online update failed.  Can someone tell me where I can find the ISO for the ilo firmware for the G5 and G6 servers?  I foudn the G7 with no issues.

Thanks

I have gotten a little farther, and figured out that the kernel modules I need are "cpqasm" and "cpqevt". I am now using version 6.30.0 of hpasm, which was designed to run on kernel version 2.4.9. I was able to make the necessary changes to the cpqasm wrapper to allow it compile against kernel version 4.7.1, but I have now run into the problem that the closed source "casm_common" library was not compiled with the "-fno-common" option, which is now required for kernel modules.

Does anyone know if it is possible to find a version of hpasm that supports a newer kernel (I think the "-fno-common requirement was added in 2.6) and also includes cpqasm and cpqevt? Every version beyond 7.1.0 does not seem to include these kernel modules.

On the other hand, a version "casm_common.o" that is compiled with "-fno-common" might also work.

Considers that looks like a some of ECC errors are corrected. Or uncorrectable ecc errors

The exact answer depends on you ecc settings

Just to inform you all,

latest steps from HPE Advisory helped in all our 3 affected servers, so now is the issue solved, without board replacement. Please have on mind that advisory was revised couple days ago with detaild format script.

I have unfortunately discovered that the drives are not compatible.

Part 652753-B21 is a 3.5" drive.

In HP Insight diagonstis .

it shows the uncorrectable multiple errors(processor based numbering)-serial number slot 0 -Module -0

Isn't the problem in motherboard (or) Processor.

I have replaced the RAM and Check, ther same Error persists.

IS anyone come acrossed this issue.

It does not depend on the OS and also not on the HDDs. It is working without the specified card.

The mentioned setup is woring without any problems on an DL380 Gen9. So only the DL180 G9 has the problem.

There is no special ISO for ILO firmware.

Consider to get the windows format, extract it, logon to ILO webpage and use the *.bin file for the update.

Should be version 2.29 for ILO2.

E200i logical drive extend fails

Hi,

A customer of mine has an old ML350G5 that needed af disk upgrade in a 2-disk RAID 1+0. The disks were replaced one by one from 240GB to two 500GB.

Afterwards I wanted to extend the LUN and ran into a problem with ACUCLI, where the extend could not succeed.

Any help highly appreciated:
