Hi,
We just have change an hard drive on a HP ProLiant DL 180 G6 with RAID controller P410 on RAID5 with 5 drive.
The the first logical drive start recovering, and since yesterday it is stuck at 1%.
I try to figure what was the problem with the HP Array Configuration Utility in CLI.
When I type "ctrl slot=1 show"
The result is:
"Smart Array P410 in Slot 1
Bus Interface: PCI
Slot: 1
Serial Number: PACCR9SYI9BL
Cache Serial Number: PACCQ9SYJ4DH
RAID 6 (ADG) Status: Disabled
Controller Status: OK
Hardware Revision: C
Firmware Version: 2.50
Rebuild Priority: High
Expand Priority: Medium
Surface Scan Delay: 15 secs
Surface Scan Mode: Idle
Queue Depth: Automatic
Monitor and Performance Delay: 60 min
Elevator Sort: Enabled
Degraded Performance Optimization: Disabled
Inconsistency Repair Policy: Disabled
Wait for Cache Room: Disabled
Surface Analysis Inconsistency Notification: Disabled
Post Prompt Timeout: 0 secs
Cache Board Present: True
Cache Status: OK
Cache Status Details: A cache error was detected. Run a diagnostic report for
more information.
Cache Ratio: 25% Read / 75% Write
Drive Write Cache: Disabled
Total Cache Size: 256 MB
Total Cache Memory Available: 144 MB
No-Battery Write Cache: Disabled
Cache Backup Power Source: Batteries
Battery/Capacitor Count: 1
Battery/Capacitor Status: OK
SATA NCQ Supported: True"
So I have generate an ADU (see attached file).
I have also try to change the controller cache ratio by this command "ctrl slot=1 modify cr=75/25" (the actual value is 25/75)
And for result I've got this:
"Error: This command did not complete properly. Please check your configuration
for possible hardware or configuration problems. Use the "show" command
on devices to show additional details about the configuration."
How can I identify the true problem and try to resolve it ?
Best regards.
John.
