Good Day Experts
As stated in the below reference, the server can host 25 SFF hard drives. Do you have the official procedure to extend from 8 to 16 by removing the optical drive cage and then the procedure to extend from 16 to 25.
If there is any movie that explain the steps, please share the link, it will be more helpfull.

Good Day Experts
We noticed in the iLo4 web interface under 'System Information' that storage information is not populated and at Device Inventory we don't have details for this Embedded Storage Controller.
Just note that server run on OS RHEL 6.5 and iLo FW 2.61
Any idea ?
Any helpful CLI commands ?
I would love to but I do not have an HPE warranty any more on this server.
Any other ideas?
Eric
Hi there,
Please find the answers to your queries:
1. Can Windows 7 / 10 be installed on a ML350p Gen8 ?
A. No. Please find the Support matrix : http://h17007.www1.hpe.com/us/en/enterprise/servers/supportmatrix/windows.aspx#.W_uEduhLiM8
2. What are the components of the HP Graphics card support kit? Is it more than a power cable for a Quadro?
A. The adapter you need is NVIDIA Quadro K6000 PCI-E Graphics Adapter [730874-B21].
Please find the link which will give this info : http://partsurfer.hpe.com/Search.aspx?SearchText=730874-B21

Hi Manuito,
To get the response temperature, PSU, etc., one need to provide the OID.
To get the OID for the MIB kit is available at https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c04272529.
The MIBs are self explanatory and can be read in an editor and extract the required OID from MIB kit.
The syntax would be #snmpwalk -v1 -c public iLO4IP/FQDN OIDstring
You can refer the blog https://ixnfo.com/en/snmp-oid-list-for-ilo4.html for iLO4 SNMP OID list.

Since SAS has a point to point connection, all slots are equal.
The "Redunandant System ROM" is for failback, if your new Firmware Version makes trouble.
Must be a mistake, it is not retiered.
After reading some articles about our server hardware on the HP site, I finnally undrstand what does Zero Memory means. Since this array controller (Smart Array P410i) has no battry , so it`s cache is disabled by default (= Zero Memory). So this configuration is subjected to this warning which was written on Online ROM Flash Component for Windows - EG0300FBLSE (under Release Note):
Online firmware flashing of drives attached to an HP Smart Array controller running in Zero Memory (ZM) mode or an HP ProLiant host bus adapter (HBA) is NOT supported. Only offline firmware flashing of drives is supported for these configurations.
I doen`t know how to update offline. my solution in theory is to enable the Controller Cache and try update firmware and after the update is taking place, I will disable it. do you think this is the solution?
HI guys,
for two months I have this error on my servers, DL380 G9.
the server freezes and then restarts, it does not show any errors in the /var/log/messages
we have already updated firmware, drivers S.O (hpsa), bios, we did not get a newer fw for the model disks (EG000300JWFUQ), for 15 servers we have 5 restart with the same error.

Hi,
Offline means, booting from the Service Pack ProLiant DVD (.ISO).
So the new Drive Firmware is not in the Standard 7.1 DVD, but you can go to "SPP Custom Download" then chosse "SPP G7.1 + Supplements".
If go to the Eye than filter, it shows, that HPD8 is for EG0300FBLSE included.
This should work.
Good Day Experts,
We have a mix of these Hard Drives in our HP Proliant DL380p Gen8 and wants to know exactly the difference between these two models.
thank you in advance.
But when booting from "Service Pack ProLiant DVD", it still want to upgrade this firmware in next reboot. so what is offline?
Hi,
great thanks for the information. So will will refrain from buying the ML350p Gen8 and will go for the Z820
Thanks and best Regards
Sir,
Is it possbile to manage from windows GUI, or do we need to reboot and login to inteligent provisioning?
Is this compatible?
HPE ProLiant ML110 Gen10
ASUS HYPER M.2 X16 CARD (4x M.2 SSD)
m.2 Samsung 970 EVO 2 TB
I want to boot from usb key (ESXi) and SSD use as storage for virtual computers.
Thank You
Peter, IT admin of primary school
From your Customer Site there is no difference.
Same Specs, Part and SparePart Numbers, Warranty.
From HPE Site the Disks come from different Manufactur.
But HPE make them equal with there own Firmware and anything arround.
Hi and thx for the reply
I have agentless Management Service and SNMP Service in automatical start.
I use the "Enablesma.bat" file in C:\programs\OEM\AMS\Service folder in admin.
I Have 4 servers in Gen 10 and it's work for 2 of them but fail for the others.
ssa (for raid controller) say "no controller detected"... I install the SPP (service proliant pack) in the last version but... it doesn't work.
I dont know if i must Configure the intelligent provisionning but if i can do it without restart the server, that would be cool
