I am trying to revive an old DL360 G7 server I have, I have installed 2 Samsung 860 pro dives and as expected I am getting terrible read/write performance.
Does anyone have any recommendation on replacing the P410i for something that will give better performance?
I don,t know yet what drives to buy, however if there are nvme disks where you can boot from I would love to know which one those are.
Can you give me the part numbers ?

I'm trying to intall an ASUS NVIDIA GeForce GT 710 graphics card in my ML10 v2 but it won't boot. It gets to the stage where it's initialising the BIOS and then it just stops.
Do I need to configure the BIOS or some other settigs before the server will accept the new card?

After booting with of CentOS7x from USB, under Device Selection I can see both Disks, not the logical Lun. What I need is Raid1 Hardware or Software based...
How can I do this?

We do NOT have Network access to this server but only through ILO.
I am able to transfer files from my Windows desktop to HP RHEL 7 through virtual media. But Can't figure how to do reverse way. In other words, I have a file on my RHEL Server and need to transfer to my Windows desktop (where I connected to ILO console using Browser)?

The S100i Dynamic Smart Array is a software based RAID controller. The software RAID function is only supported in Windows. For hardware based RAID you will need to install either the HPE Smart Array P408i-p SR Gen10 or the HPE Smart Array E208i-p SR Gen10 PCIe controller

You can do the same going the other way, insert a USB drive key in your windows desktop and mount it via iLO virtual meidia. Basically just like you do it for the transfers you have working now

Unfortunately, the windows desktop is in the same data centre as our HP Server and I connect to the Windows through RDP remotelt. I could ask local guys to insert a USB stick but that's a long shot/process.
Is there any way other than inserting USB drive like a drive letter (D:\) ?

I,ve tried the same thing. Never got it working fine. Then went to gen 8 server. Everything worked fine. Has to do with firmware lock I heard.

I tried to install an HP SSD EX950 M.2 1TB on a Proliant ML30 Gen10, update the server bios at the last version may 2019 but the server don't recognize the disk at full capacity, onyl 1024MB.
Anyone have an idea ? is not compatible ?

Its strange that its happend also randomly with another G7 server!!!
the issue started after I upgraded My Pc from windows 7 to Windows 10.
it did not happednd before that!!

I have DL380 Gen10 server updated to latest SPP .9/2109.
the server crashed many times with with no specific HW failure only BIOS degraded note!! and the next IML messages, even I dont know where is that slot 255?? which have the issues?

I don't recall is you can access the RAID setting in RBSU on teh Gen8 Microserver, and I don't have one handy to look at. This Customer Advisory explains how to format the NAND which should allow you to reload Intelligent Provisioning

Je veus remplacer les disques par des SATA 7200tr/m pour en faire des platforme de stokage
J'ai regarder de nombreux sites, tous le monde se contredit...
Au final je ne sais pas quel disque dur SATA peut aller dedans...
500gb/1to/2to/.... SSD ?
