Hello, as I wrote, I would like to install Windows 2003 on DL360 G7 but the installer says there is no HDD on my system.

I know I have to start the installer with some HP CD to configure the Smart Array,  but I dont have this CD. Is this softwase available on the HPE website?

Can I get the link?

Hello,

Get the below changes done in RBSU:
System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) > Advanced Options > Fan and Thermal Options >Thermal Configuration>Optimal Cooling

Check the status now.

If it is already set to "Optimal Cooling" change the cooling mode to "Increased Cooling." and check for issue resolution.

If still issue perist shutdown the server
Drain the flea power by disconnecting any power input, all the external cables (including Power and Network), external devices and pressing and holding down the power button for 10 seconds.
Check the fans and be sure the air flows over the drive.
Reseat the fans. Also reseat any PCI cards if connected.
Clear NVRAM

The following steps may be performed to clear NVRAM using the system maintenance switch on the system board:
a. Extend the server from the rack, remove the access panel, and locate the system maintenance switch (refer to item 1 in figure 1 below).
b. Move switch S6 from default 'Off' position to 'On', install the access panel and connect the power cable to the walljack and power it on.
c. When a message indicates that a maintenance switch has been turned on and the unit has been reset, power it off, remove the power cable from the walljack. Remove it from the rack,
remove the access panel and reverse switch S6 to 'Off' and then power the server back again.

Connect power cables again and see if the server behaves normal.
If still same issue reduce the server to minimum configuration.
Remove all external PCI cards attached to server.
Start adding parts in incremental manner to isolate the faulty component.

Hi

I have a new HP DL380 Gen 10 server.

It makes much more noise (VERY noticable), than my DL380 Gen 9 server. Is this normal?

Thanks.

Greetings!

I believe you are checking the drive capacity under HPE Smart Storage Administrator. If not, please access the HPE Smart Storage Administrator and select the S100i controller. The M.2 drive should be visible there.

If the S100i controller doesn't show up in HPE Smart Storage Administrator or if you do not see the S100i identify during POST please access system configuration settings (F9) and enable the S100 controller.

Did you get a chance to check with compatible NVMe - M.2 - SSDs? Because the compatible ones are of lesser capacity then the one that you have been trying to install/test.

Please refer page# 23 on below link for more details:

Hello everyone.

I recently bought a Proliant ML110 GEN10, Xeon Bronze 3104 (1.70Ghz, Six Core), 16 GB ram.

The performance is very slow, I can't even play a YouTube video without looking slow. When I change windows from the operating system it also looks slow. I have the latest version of the HP Service Pack.

Has anyone happened to you? What can I do to fix it?

Might help others respond if you mention what OS you are using and the video resolution you are attempting to use

Problem solved. I installed the latest BIOS update and now the fans are running at 11%.

Ordered a DL360 Gen10 with 4 x LFF Bays but have 2.5" drives.

Hi there,

We incorrectly ordered a DL360 Gen10 with 4xLFF bays:  P03635-B21

Thinking it was an SFF form factor, we ordered:

3x:  872479-B21 1.2TB SAS 2.5"

2x:  P04474-B21 480GB SSDs 2.5"

Is there a conversion kit or a way to modify the 4xLFF bay server to accomodate SFF drives? The server did not come with the drives pre-installed if that makes any difference.

Thanks!

Hi,

Please see the recommendations below:

Update BIOS rom to latest - 2.22_11-13-2019(18 Nov 2019) (Please refer the rivision history for fixes),

https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_55c6312f9c634f5782048519dd#tab-history

Recommended to change the workload profile to HPC-high performance computing or Virtulization Max performance. and check the status.

And for

"PCI Bus Uncorrectable PCI Express Error Detected. Slot 255 (Segment 0x0, Bus 0x5D, Device 0x1, Function 0x0)"

"Bus 0x5D, Device 0x1, Function 0x0"==> Need to decode and check to which device its pointing.

Please try to to check PCI device properties or nvme drive properties incase its matching .

If identified, try to update the the firmware.

Regards,

Sudhir
