Request to check the below link for information about the supported & tested Graphics card models on a DL380 Gen9 server
Nvidia 2080Ti Graphics card is not available in the list of supported Graphics card. Hence, HPE has not tested the 2080Ti graphics card on a DL380 Gen9 server.
Please compare the technical specifications of the Graphics card & the server to get more information about the installation of the card in the server PCIe slot

Please help to share the complete event message reporting failure in Sensor 1.
Did you consult the OS vendor?
If not done, i would suggest you to engage Os vendor to review the OS logs.
Are you seeing any event messages reporting Sensor issues in IML Logs.

HP ProLiant ML 350 G5 - BIOS password with 8 character
Hi all,
It is my first post, I would like to thank you for the contributions received in this forum.
I have a trouble with a HP ProLiant ML 350 G5. I defined a test boot password with 7 character, confirm it, reboot and it worked great.
Since it worked correctly, I reset the password by adding a bar at the end when entering it. It also worked correctly. When defining the final password, I used a password with 8 characters, but now when starting it does not recognize the password "invalid password". I tried the first 7 characters and it doesn't work.
Any suggestions? The server has an ilo 2. It is located in a remote location in the organization, so resetting the BIOS is a non-viable option.

Ok, I'll try that one.
Donwloaded also this BIOS: SP99475.exe since to me it seems that very often the SPP seems to have older versions of BIOS + other firmware that actually installed to the server. Please see the BIOS details below:

Will start by installing the BIOS via USB key. The boot to the SPP USB key and maybe select the interactive method so I can see what it tries to do. Or is there a spesific reason why I should select Automatic Update?

You have not mentioned the model of the controller and OS installed. Hence i am profiding you the link to the download page from where you can select the model of the controller installed in your server and accordingly download the latest firmware.

Solved!
I share the solution y tried and solved the problem for the future. Maybe it was already published in this forum, but I haven't found it.
I tried to enter the first 6 characters, omit the followings except the last one. I explained:
At BIOS, set boot password: 1234abcd, confirm password: 1234abcd
When system ask boot password, type 1234abd.

Please perform the following steps
1. Update ILO4 firmware to 2.70 .
2. Make sure the Ilo remote console Ports and other required ports are open. For more details please check the link below

3. Please connect the ILO4 port directly to a PC or Laptop etc (Peer to Peer connection) . And check if it works to isolate the issue.
4. Use another machine to access Ilo remote console.
In case if issue is the same please log a ticket with HPE Support Team to investigate the issue further with the supporting logs.

Seems the problem is with either the mobo or processor since any ram i put in c9 d6 i think will be not read in bios and i get that error.. So fixed for now 2 slots out of 18 dead isnt that bad

I prefer interactive mode for exactly this reason.
You can also download newer files (BIOS) as linux version and add it to your USB stick.

Hi All
So afterg a lot of reading and etc. i can confirm thaat GTX or RTX GPUs are locked out from dl580 gen8 servers.
HP just use PCI-E Vendor IDs from the GPUs and when its not a QUADRO PCI-E IDs, it just not work or direclty crash system ( trying to identify card by a sw ) and card have permanent error code 43 - and it cant be solved. so nice way to lock up using anything except QUADROs what are not so powerfull vs gaming cards in term of COMPUTE performance.

Thank you for the update. Automatic update is to perform a complete update of all the device firmware in the server without any user intervention. If there is a need to do specific device firmware update, then Interactive method can be performed.
If user is aware of the process, then Interactive method is recommended.
