Hi, 

Since you have updated the Driver , however to make sure that rest of the Hardware is also  on the latest Firmware/ Driver level .

we would recommend you to please update the server with Latest SPP 

> Please use the online method to update SPP , as it will update the Driver and Firmware as well .

> Installation:

Online mode - Runs on a Windows or Linux hosted operating system.

Interactive mode - Follow the onscreen steps to update firmware components

Hi Robert, 

Follow the steps below to make it happen – 

  • enable SSH on your ESXi host (configuration tab, Security Profile, Properties)
  • copy the CPxxxxxx.scexe file to /tmp on your ESXi Host using eg. WinSCP
  • logon as root at your ESXi host and change to /tmp
  • check with “ls” if your CP file is there
  • change file permission to executable: “chmod +x CPxxxxxx.scexe”
  • now run the file: “./CPxxxxxx.scexe” 

Once complete reboot the ESXi host – done!

Hello, 

The steps that lead to this problem are listed below:

  1. During a UEFI boot, press the F9 key when prompted to enter the System Utilities menu.
  2. In the System Utilities menu, select Embedded Applications.
  3. In the Embedded Applications submenu, select Integrated Management Log (IML).
  4. In the Integrated Management Log (IML) submenu, select View IML.
  5. If booting Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012, or 2012 R2 with SPP Version 2014.09.0 installed, Windows Server will stop responding while attempting to load.
  6. Reboot the server.
  7. The server will halt with the "270 - iLO FW Communication Issue" POST error.

Issue is resolved with iLO Firmware and BIOS update.

1. Update the iLO Firmware to revision 2.02 or later.
2. Update the BIOS to Version: 1.20_08-26-2014 or later.
3. If the issue persists, please power down the server and remove PSU and connect it back after 30-60 seconds.

DL20 Gen10-Intelligent Provisioning not showing NVME drive as an install target

Hi

I have a similar Problem/Quention for a DL20 Gen10 I am currently working on. I could not get the Intelligent Provisioning to show me the NVME drive as an install target. What are the required steps to get this working?
Bios and Diagnostic is showing the drive propperly.

Good day!

I'm looking into remediation of a vulnerability for self-signed certificates on our Systems Management Homepage.

I've found how to do the remediation manually, individually for a server, but I have about 3500 servers to remediate.  I'm interested to see if HPE has a method of creating the CSR by script, and we can submit the requests to our CA.

Riser for DL385 Gen10

Hello everyone,

Does anyone have any information on whether the following components can be installed in the DL 385 Gen10:

2 x Maxtor C680 graphic cards (requires full lenght slot) + capture card Maxtor Mura IPX (requires half lenght slot)

The default riser that comes with the server has two half lenght slots, and one full lenght slot.

Smart array s100i SR gen 10 sw raid software for windows server 2019

I have a ml30 gen 10 server with hpe smart array s100i SR gen 10 sw raid controller. The server is beeping and I think raid 1 is out of sync. Where can I download software for windows server 2019 and thus be able to see what is happening to the server since I cannot access the console at the moment, but I can access windows.

After placing Intelligent Provisioning install on a USB it ran the install however, produced the following errors in order. Used HP USB Key App, looked at some solutions such as:  

convert in.png out.png
mogrify *.png

 

However, it does not recognize these commands as this is just what I could find on the subject.  That being stated, I do not believe that there is any licensing or anything left on the hard drives for restoring and recognizing drives.  What would be the process of getting this going the server is a hand me down from our corporation company.  What in your opinion would it take to take this up and running, as this is a crashed system no way to load anything, nu GUI, no hard drives, HP Storage Administrator not working.  If licensing could be obtained from our corporate company is there a process for successfully loading licensing and configuring, if not, what needs to be done?

If licensing was already purchased could that be chased down by serial numbers?  Also if everything is wiped is this still valid for exisitng licensing?

Hi .. im racking my head and cant find this error.

Have smartupdate installed on linux. 

# smartupdate --s --target my.ip.addy --targettype oa --username user --password pass --use_location /var/tmp/spp --dryrun

Error: Cannot get a valid session. Please check whether the server is running.
Sending Shutdown request to engine
Shutdown post command failed: 2

ML110 Gen9 cannot read current power reading

My machine has been configured with RPS Enablement Kit and two 750W Hot Plug Power, but the current power readings cannot be displayed in iLO, and the program reports that this platform is not supported when I try to update Advanced Power Capping Microcontroller Firmware
