Thank you for the response.

Assume a reboot will be needed after the update is applied and smartpath can be left enabled.--- Yes you are right, reboot is required for the changes to take place.

You can start with downloading the latest compatible SPP for gen9 and then add the components (RPM) manually as mentioned in the doc file which I uploaded. Please do not miss to tick the "Make Bootable ISO File" option. Before you add the files manually please check the content report for that particular SPP as the desired firmware file may be already present in it.

Youre going to have this happen regardless.  It is how the system is designed, and by adding a GPU the machine will require increased cooling.  There are two ways to solve this, one being that iLO firmware hack that will allow you to adjust the fan curves and the second method is using a microcontroller to create a PWM controller to run the fans.  Neither of these are something I'd reccomend to someone unless they have some experience and are able to troubleshoot effectively.  That said, this is an enterprise grade server and not a home theater PC.  It requires cooling, and like most other servers, it will be loud.  Just as I wouldn't buy a Tesla Model 3 to take offroading in the woods, I wouldn't buy an HP Proliant expecting to keep it in my bedroom.

VT-X not available for HPE DL380

HP DL380 BIOS virtualization has been activated, but virtual box VT-X is not available. Please check if there is any other way.

I think the below documents will help you to resolve your query.

You can try the below steps.

1. Restart the server and press the F9 key when the server POSTs. Select System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU).

2. BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) select System Options > Virtualization Options and select the relevant options.

if the issue doesn't resolve, please share your server Generation. ( Gen8, Gen9 or gen10)

Try this.

Put in the card, but do not connect the GPU power cable.

You should be able to see it in the bios settings OR in the OS.

If that is the case, there might be a problem with the GPU power cable.

SAS drive is predicted to fail soon.

Hello.
I have the HP proliant dl380e gen8, raid controller b120i (v 3.54.0), RAID 0 from 4 SAS disks HP MB1000FCWDE.
After restart the system I have a next problems:
Code 341, SAS drive ... is predicted to fail soon.
How can I save data from raid?

Hello,

Raid 0 configured with this drive. I would request you take the complete data backup before failed this drive. This hard disk will fail soon.

I tried all versions of the firmware which yielded the same result.

The controller P410i is updated to the latest version i could find (6.64). The server is a DL360 running windows server 2019.

HI Eeswarna,

Thank you for letting us know the issue..

as per you description the issue doesn't start when configured for the first Time & Domain Login works fine..  but the issue starts when  you do the iLO reset after which you are seeing an issue of domain login failure  due to certificate  Validation failure.. i get your point . can you confirm  the domain user on which the issue is seen  is actually part of How many Security Groups ..

Command : to run on Domain Controller : dsquery user -samid ilouser | dsget user -memberof | dsget group -samid

i hav 6 units of HP SL220f gen8 server, all are upgraded to latest version BIOS (075) 2019 and ILO v2.75
1st batch : 4units only support e5-2600v1 processor (sandy bridge)
2nd batch :2units support e5-2600v2 processor (ivy bridge)
i have no idea how to upgrade the 4units server to support e5-2600v2, appreciate anyone can give brilliant solutions

Hi All,

I've just purchased the dl320e gen8 v2 (P80) version second hand and it has no warranty or licence and its working perfectly.

that being said, i do have issues with the noise coming from fan 3 running at 30% + while fan 1 & 2 are running nice and quiet at 6%.

I have updated the bios and ilo, what else can I do? the version updates are below.

iLO 2.73 Feb 11 2020
Intelligent Platform Abstraction Data 0.20
Intelligent Provisioning 1.50.130
Redundant System ROM P80 05/21/2018
Server Platform Services (SPS) Firmware 3.0.4.D1.8

I am also running an SSD in AHCI mode.

I did see this fix and it refs the fan noise in AHCI mode, but you have to have a lincence, which I find strange as these units are so old and out of warranty now.

System ROMPaq Firmware Upgrade for HP ProLiant DL320e Gen8 v2 (P80) Servers (For USB Key-Media) SP71324.exe (3.8 MB)

Any help would be much aprreciated.

Hi all,
Today I tested f8 , but the system reported this text:
Slot 0 HP Smart Array P410i controller
1783-Slot 0 Array controller is in a lock-up state. Due to a hardware configuration failure.( controller is disabled until this problem is resolved).
