1026?
;-)
IP is probably older than 2016 - a new version should be there soon (IP 1.64).
I guess 2012 should work too?

v1.63 was released before 2016 was available. You should be able to install 2016 without using IP. Afterr the installation you may need to run the SPP to provide some updated drivers
Apply the lates SPP to get the latest firmware and use the HPE ESXi images

You can set switch 6 of the 12 position switch to 'on' to clear all the NVRAM settings and put the sytsem back to default. Download the maintenance and service guide for more information
I do get a message to press a key to get the setup or boot menus, when I press the key (F11), the screen responds by aletering the background on the F11 prompt (so I know the keyboard and USB is working), but the boot menu doesn't appear.
I then set switch 6 to "on" as you suggested, but that stopped it booting at all.
When I set switch 6 to off, I can reboot, but still cannot enter the boot menu nor setup menu.
What can I do?
iLO report a problem with HBA
Adapter 4 - HP StorageWorks 82Q 8Gb PCI-e Dual Port FC HBA
Location Slot 1
Firmware v. 8.02.00
Status Degraded
Adapter 5 - HP StorageWorks 82Q 8Gb PCI-e Dual Port FC HBA
Location Slot 4
Firmware v. 8.02.00
Status Degraded
I can't find anything in log. I don't know why it's degraded. Hba is working. Only one port on each HBA is connected but it shouldn't be a reason to report that HBA status is degraded.
Please let me know if someone wants to maintain Flash memory as an Asset then under which category model should be created(Nature of the model). What shuld be the nature type of the model?
I am trying to install windows server 2012 r2 on a DL380 G7 ProLiant. But it can't boot from Windows installation DVD. As far as I know there is no smartstart CD which supports Windows 2012. I am told that first I have to boot the server with SPP and update the server then I can use the Windows installation DVD to boot the server. Is it right? Or are there any other solution?
I'm wanting to test a Fusion IO Adapter with SmartCache that's enabled on my Array Controller in a non production envirnment before purchasing and HP branded one for my server. Based on my research it looked like early on HP may have just provided drivers / re-labelled these.
I know SmartCache won't work with non HP flash drives. Does anyone know if it will / won't work with the non HP Fusion IO Adapter II?
can you post a screenshot of the POST/boot screen?
Does ML350 G6 support server 2016 hyper-v?
our server CPU is E5520
Anyone, please? All LEDs on the disks are off.
Sadly Windows 2016 will not install on the 32GB SD Card even without using IP. The Windows installer tells me that it cannot install on a disk "connected through a USB or IEEE 1394 port."? Next, I'll try Windows server 2012 R2, although I really wanted the new features in Server 2016. Otherwise the SD Card is totally pointless and a waste of money.
Hi all;
I updated the C7000 enclosure using hpsum, and it detected my blades as iLo devices, the OA and VC. So i only did the update for iLo in my blades, as well as the update for OA and VC. The installed ROM firmware on my blades is I31 11/02/2014 (not the last version http://h20564.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=5177951&swItemId=MTX_1d6eb36c88374db9b71f044ffa&swEnvOid=4166) and i can see the last update in the components of my baseline. So how do i make hpsum detect those updates, and is it possible to do them after the update of OA and VC? Thanks
Hello.
I have the server HP ProLiant ML150 G6 and HDD SATA 3 or 4TB.
SATA controller does not see 3-4Тb HDD.
they can be friends? and how to do it? Please, help me!! )
Thank you. Best regards.
There are many ways to do this ...
Point HPSUM to the OS IP address of the blades (discover).
If they run a supported OS, you can update firmware and drivers that way.
You should use SPP 2016.10.
Google points to many tutorials like this for example

We have a similar problem:
Unfortunately I didn't receive any answer yet...
Thanks, Jimmy,
I think I have moved forward on this.
My first problem was caused by a VGA to HDMI adapter. I had this server connected to an HDMI display, and for some reason, although the initial bios screens displayed normally on this display, the setup and boot menus did not display.
When I connected an old VGA screen, those menus did display.
However, I still could not boot from the DVD drive.
I was trying to boot a Windows 7 Pro installation DVD.
Is there something that prevents the loading of Win 7 on this machine and is there a work-around?
Thanks.
Hi
I have 6 HP ProLiant DL 380 G7 servers that are running Windows 2008R2
They are all manage in HP SIM and they are compare against the latest SPP 2016.10
HP SIM is telling that this component is not up-to-date
HPE Storage Fibre Channel Adapter Kit for the x64 Emulex Storport Driver (version 10.7.110.20)
It says it should be updated with this version 11.1.145.16
The problem is that if I try to update it with HP sim it will fail, if I try with the SPP in the OS, it will says that the server is already at this SPP level, and if I try to download this component off of the HP website when I try to install it, it gives me this error
The software is currently installed, but does not need to be installed on this system.
Current Version: 10.7.110.20
Press 'Close' to exit Setup.
So HP sim is telling me I should update but there is no way for me to update this component
Can anyone have any idea what I can do to solve this problem that is affectign many of our servers
The tech support of HP told be thay won't help me since these servers are no longer on waranty.
Thank you for your help
Nothing should prevent Win7 from booting, but win7 may not have the correct stroage and network drivers to function properly. WIn7 isn't a supported OS on that system
